چکیده
This study aimed at the geological and geospatial mapping of flood vulnerable areas in Ganaja, Lokoja metropolis for proper mitigation. The area involved taking several traverses understudying different rock types area. Rocks identified are porphyritic granite, migmatite, augen gneiss, aplitic medium-grained pegmatitic intrusions quartzo-feldspathic veins, banded gneiss biotite gneiss. Fractures joint within rocks show NW-SE, NNE-SSW orientations; corresponding to predominant stress direction that represent imprints Pan-African orogeny. incessant inundation settlement by floods has necessitated this risk vulnerability assessment. Results from investigation three with respect level. Buildings 100 meters buffer distance river banks plains highly vulnerable, those 200 is moderately while 300 above less areas. relationship between geology or geomorphology its effect on clearly seen geologic, elevation maps contour intervals western section have steeper slopes thereby allowing easy run-off eastern section, having River Niger; more gentle a tendency accumulate water.

Gender Analysis of Energy Use for Rice Production in North Central, Nigeria
The study examined gender analysis of energy use for Rice production in north central Nigeria using a sample of 60 Rice farmers. An analysis of gender relations provides the information on the different conditions men and women face, and the different effects that policies and programs may have on them. Simple descriptive statistics were used to analyze the data. Energy efficiency and energy pr...

Successful target detection, especially if there is a similarity between the target and the background area, always is a noticeable issue in remote sensing studies. Because of the spectral behavior similarity to the other phenomena and spatial distribution of these units, the mapping of wind erosion units is difficult. Thus, this study attempts to detect the favorable areas by using matched fil...
متن کاملInvestigating the geological potential of the Birjand area for establishing and extending flood farms (Bandsar)
Khorasan Province is one of the areas in which it is not possible to cultivate farmlands because of low rainfall, and hence, flood farms (bandsar in local dialect) are considered an effective traditional method for flood cultivation in the region. We used a geological map of Birjand at a scale of 1: 250,000 to select the study area. This area includes the city of Birjand and numerous population...
